GNF has an open position for a Group Leader in experimental pharmacology overseeing the analysis of newly generated models of human disease in mice. Projects involve the perturbation of mouse physiology by small molecules, bioactive proteins or genetic variation. We continuously generate new mouse mutants be forward (ENU) and reverse genetics programs and also use the natural genetic variation between inbreed strains to uncover gene loci associated with phenotypic variation. Currently or phenotyping efforts extend into immunological, metabolic and behavioral analysis. Candidates should have a strong research background, publication record and extensive experience in mouse phenotyping or pharmacology in one or more of the areas mentioned above.
