Description:

This position will coordinate all aspects of our Reagent Management System which includes but is not limited to receiving, bar coding, and distributing chemical reagents on a daily basis.  Interface with reagent management software developers to debug or update this program.  The successful candidate will also organize our reagent library and complete bi-annual reconciliations to insure that our reagent inventories are updated.  Help organize lab space to accommodate incoming equipment and assist Lab Coordinators and Research Director in developing and refining operating protocols.  Interface with scientific staff, Facility Engineers, EH&S, and IT staff to help facilitate daily laboratory operations. 

Our ideal candidate will have a B.A./B.S. in Chemistry or related scientific subject and previous academic or industry experience in a laboratory environment.  Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.  Experience with scientific software applications and LIMS a plus.  Able to lift and carry 10 lbs.  Must be motivated, responsible, proactive, organized, and able to work within a team environment.  Previous experience with the operation and repair of laboratory instrumentation a plus.  Able to organize project logistics, and multi-task during daily operations.  Knowledge of EH&S state and federal regulatory guidelines a plus. Candidate should also have good interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail, and possess excellent written and verbal skills.
