Description:

Individual will play an integral role in GNF oncology drug discovery efforts as the in vivo representative on drug discovery project teams. Duties include selection and optimization of animal models (pharmacodynamic and efficacy) individualized to the pathways being targeted. The position requires effective management of a highly productive group of in vivo pharmacology associates. The successful candidate will work with multi-disciplinary groups including medicinal chemistry, in vitro biology (cancer biology, biotherapeutics), in vitro ADME and pharmacokinetics. Projects will encompass both low molecular weight and biotherapeutic (antibodies and proteins) efforts.  The main focus will be on in vivo drug optimization and the development and optimization of oncology relevant animal models. Opportunities to propose new targets and lead projects are expected. The successful applicant should have a strong background in cancer biology and pharmacology.

Required qualifications and experience: 
•Ph.D. in a relevant field with at least 2+ years of post-doctoral experience.
•Industry experience preferred but not necessary, level will depend on experience
•Demonstrated understanding of cancer biology and rodent oncology models
•Experience in supporting project teams with key I data and driving projects to clinical candidates
•Demonstrated record of scientific achievement
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Supervisory experience
•High level of self-motivation and ability to thrive in a goal- and team-oriented setting
