We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a background in molecular and cellular biology. The successful candidate should have extensive knowledge and practical experience in culturing, engineering, and assaying mammalian cell lines to support target validation and inhibitor characterization for drug discovery projects. The ability to perform molecular biology and protein chemistry techniques including cloning, protein expression and purification, RNA interference, and biochemical and cellular assay development is desired. The candidate should possess a B.S./M.S. (or equivalent) in cell biology, biochemistry, or another relevant biological area. Prior exposure to oncology, kinases, automation, signal transduction and/or pharmaceutical drug discovery would be a plus. A high level of self-motivation, the ability to work in a team-oriented setting, and good communication skills are required.
