Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Ph.D. in vitro biologist with 4+ years of experience in small molecule drug discovery to join our biology team. The successful candidate will play an important role in existing drug discovery projects and in initiating new lead discovery projects targeting established and novel molecular pathways.  Responsibilities will include supervising associates, developing and optimizing biochemical or cell-based assays for hit identification and lead optimization, profiling SAR medchem compounds in primary and secondary in vitro assays for lead optimization, and providing project leadership from hit-to-lead to preclinical candidate selection by working and coordinating efforts with multi-disciplinary groups including medicinal chemistry, in vitro ADME, in vivo PK and in vivo pharmacology.  This position requires a detailed knowledge of cutting-edge molecular, biochemical and cellular drug discovery approaches and an ability to excel in a goal-oriented, multifaceted and fast-moving environment.  Prior drug discovery, target identification and supervisory experience in a biotech or pharma setting are highly desirable.
