We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our chemistry department.  Successful candidates will have strong skills and a proven track record in synthetic organic chemistry and preferably medicinal chemistry.  Specific skill requirements include designing and performing multi-step organic syntheses from mg to gram scale, compound purification, and structural characterization to provide compounds for biological testing.  In addition, experience with drug design, hit-to-lead SAR optimization, and optimization of physicochemical and ADME properties is preferred.  Additional job requirements include clear and complete documentation of work performed, ability to collaborate proficiently with an inter-disciplinary team, and strong oral and written communication skills.  This position requires a Ph.D. in synthetic organic or medicinal chemistry and postdoctoral experience.
