We are seeking a candidate to fill an opening in the Structural Biology group at GNF for a scientific associate with experience in molecular biology, protein expression and purification. The candidate will have a high level of self-motivation, good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a high-throughput, team-oriented environment. 

Responsibilities will be focused on the cloning, expression and purification of recombinant proteins as part of the gene to structure and protein engineering pipelines at GNF. The successful candidate will work within a facility containing state of the art technologies for molecular biology, protein expression, protein analytics and structural biology.

Requirements 
•B.S./M.S. in biochemistry or a related discipline preferably with 2+ year’s experience in molecular biology, protein expression and/or protein analytics.
•Proficiency with experimental design and ability to troubleshoot and resolve cloning, protein expression and purification problems.
•Basic computer skills for presentation and analysis of data using the Microsoft Office suite. 
•Excellent oral and verbal communications skills.
•Experience with biophysical characterization of proteins and parallel approaches to recombinant eukaryotic protein expression and purification are a plus.
