Statistical genetics of complex diseases

We are seeking an expert in statistical genetics to join the newly formed Bioinformatics group. The successful candidate will conduct in depth analyses of high dimensional human and mouse population based data including multiple molecular and phenotypic measures, to define new targets for GNF’s high-tech and high throughput scientists. The position will encompass the multiple therapeutic areas under investigation at GNF including but not limited to metabolic diseases, cancer and immunology. The candidate must have a Ph.D. in statistical genetics or a closely related discipline with up to 5 years postdoctoral experience. Critical to the position are handling large complex datasets in both standardized and innovative ways, working in a diverse team setting and the ability to communicate results and ideas.
