We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual with metabolic diseases experience to characterize drug candidate pharmacology. The successful candidate will support in vivo animal studies as a member of the cardiovascular and metabolism group within the Pharmacology department by helping multi-disciplinary teams to identify and modulate the metabolic profile of lead compounds.
Responsibilities include carrying out preclinical rodent efficacy and PK/PD studies, analytical assay development, and analysis of samples from in vivo studies, and interpretation of results. The routine work will include but not limited to animal handling and dosing, in vivo sample collection, blood and tissue sample analysis by elisa assays, clinical chemistry assays, etc. Prior experience with in vivo studies involving rodents and sample analysis is essential. A B.S./M.S. degree in biology or related discipline with pharmaceutical/biotech experience is preferred. Excellent communication, organization, planning and record keeping, data analyses are a must, as well as the ability to work in a highly-interactive and fast-paced drug discovery environment.
These positions are available for a duration of 6 months.
