A postdoctoral fellowship is offered at the Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation (GNF) in the Oncology Pharmacology group. GNF is a world renowned leader in the development of enabling technologies for the advancement of science. The successful candidate will utilize a variety of GNF’s technologies to identify new areas of emerging biology based on profiling and investigation of fresh clinical samples. Through collaborating with pharmacology, genomics, and bioinformatics, the ideal candidate will be expected to design and execute experiments that provide a greater understanding of the tumor microenvironment.
• The ideal candidate for this position should be highly motivated and have a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. with relevant training in oncology, genomics, and/or cellular biology as evident by peer-reviewed publications in reputable journals
• Experience with DNA/RNA/protein analysis, cell-based assays including 3D-culture systems, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and/or in vivo tumor models are highly desirable
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and a highly collaborative nature
