The Omics group is looking for an individual to support research activities in the area of non-mass spectrometry based proteomics. The position plays an essential role in developing next-generation proteomic technology that can complement existing high-throughput transcriptomic readouts in disease characterization and development of drug candidates.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced scientist.

Your responsibilities:

• Lead independent research and technical scientific work in the area of display technology development
• Explore early applicability of new technologies to ongoing drug discovery efforts by interfacing with drug discovery teams
• Provide key input to Omics team for the development and execution of next-generation proteomic technologies
• Collaborate with protein sciences in generation of display libraries, execution of panning efforts, and production of reagents
• Perform assay development and work with automation to apply new reagents in analytical and high-throughput screening workflows
• Facilitate method and technology transfer to other departments and entities of the Novartis research and development organization[#video#https://youtu.be/6zHT-WPPFLY{#400,300#}#/video#]

What you will bring to the role:

• PhD, MSc with 3+ years, or BSc with 5+ years of relevant experience
• Strong molecular biology skills
• In vitro display and display library design experience highly desirable
• Protein expression and purification skills
• Experience with proteomic data analysis in R or Python is considered a plus
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
