For over 21 years, the Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation (GNF) has been doing cutting-edge innovative drug discovery for Novartis global research organization, the Novartis Institute for BioMedical Research (NIBR).
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to run Illumina sequencing-based assays as part of GNF’s drug discovery and development process. The position requires working in a team environment to support drug discovery in diverse disease areas across the institute. Molecular biology experience required. The selected individual will demonstrate ability to work in a team setting and independently, have strong organizational and communication skills, and be willing to rapidly adapt to changing technology and priorities.
• Preparing samples for deep sequencing
• Communicating with other scientists regarding sample preparation and submission
• Presenting data in a full departmental setting
The candidate should possess a B.S. or B.A. in cell biology, biochemistry, or a relevant biological area, and a minimum of 5 years of full-time laboratory experience. Candidates with proven ability to troubleshoot and bring in new methods from the literature will be given preference.
