Inventing solutions where none exist! As part of the engineering team, the role of the Electrical Assembly Technician I is to assemble and fabricate new technology for drug discovery and commercialization. GNF is undertaking innovative and challenging drug discovery efforts and we need your help to enable this amazing science which will discover new medicines for patients. The GNF engineering team is an essential contributor and partner to the science, inventing solutions where none exist as well as commercializing technology to further feed drug discovery. Our scientists increasingly recognize the impact engineering can have on research programs and are eager for you to put your stamp on it.

This position is perfect for technicians who love variety. Our specialty is high variety, low quantity work. We are a production facility supporting a team of scientists and engineers in creating the world's leading automated laboratory systems. Applicants should be in pursuit of excellence and constantly in search of the best way to do a job. We are seeking those that take pride in a well-built device.

Core Responsibilities:
• Precision assembly of electro-mechanical systems and sub-systems with emphasis in cable building, point-to-point wiring, electrical panel assembly, and electrical troubleshooting.
• Works with minimal supervision within well-established practices and clearly defined scope of work
• Takes initiative on problem solving within assigned tasks
• Interpret and use of electrical schematics
• Understands how to safely use general shop tools and utilizes crimpers, soldering iron, etc.
• Use multimeters for troubleshooting
• Accurately record and submit work hours
• General shop upkeep
• Helps plan subtasks. Provides input to support production planning planning
